Prince George used a superb performance from starting pitcher Reid Starkey to down the Scottsdale Scorpions, 3-0. Starkey, the winner, moves to 10-1. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk. Daniel Lino notched his 3rd save in 6 chances.

Ryan Dooley took Jose Plata deep with no one out in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball, Dooley drilled a solo home run to right. It was his 10th home run of the season and put Prince George on top, 1-0.
