No Mercy for Storm in 21-0 Pounding
The Rosewell Tribbles got production from their entire lineup in an easy 21-0 win over the Wichita Storm. Doing his part was second baseman Bill Dotson. Dotson, who is tied for 7th in the TR with a .513 on-base percentage, was 4-5 with 2 home runs, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 4 and driving in 8. Ray Briggs earned the win, while 17-year old right-handed pitcher Dave Elizondo took the loss for Wichita. The setback makes Wichita 33-87.

Steve Shumate, who is tied for 4th in the TR with a .414 batting average, took Wichita hurler Dave Elizondo deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Tribbles on top, 2-0. In all, Shumate had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 5.

"Give them credit," said Wichita manager Jose Munoz. "They wrecked us."
