The Yuma Varmits grabbed a win, 8-4, over the The Stinging Larvae at The Range. Yuma catcher Abe Herrera was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The losses continue to pile up for The Stinging, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.

With Yuma leading 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth, Herrera hit a changeup from Pedro Anguiano for a grand slam home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Varmits ahead, 7-2.
