|
Peter Dillon was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Copps Park. In fact, the Manhattan Slice left-hander was instrumental in his team's 3-1 victory over the Hawaii Honu. Josh Showalter finished to wrap up his 18th save. The third-place Slice improved to 45-38.
Dillon, who was born in Rochester, Minnesota, threw 109 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing 1 run.
"I liked his command," said Manhattan manager Giampaolo Marcovicci. "Peter was throwing strikes."
