In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Clearlake pitcher Matthew Chrisman did his part in helping his team beat the Montreal Cardinals, 6-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 6 innings, Chrisman surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. Eric Bull notched his 1st save in 1 chances.
Early in the game, center fielder Richard Burton had a 2-run triple for Clearlake. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Captains on top, 3-1.
"Matthew was pounding the zone," said Clearlake manager George Corbett.
The Captains move to 40-35 with the win, while the Cardinals drop to 37-38.
