The Paradise Island Pirates besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Oconto Falls first baseman Francisco Lopez by beating the Timbers, 11-10, at Predator Park. Lopez went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Guilhem Rondinella was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 5 runs on 9 hits, with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts. The first-place Pirates, at 81-36, now lead their division by 3 games.

Gerardo Castillo had a key at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Paradise Island. With the bases loaded and the Pirates leading 6-5, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Castillo told the Paradise Island News.
