The Sedona Sabercats had their hands full with Savannah Peaches starter Manny Otero, who frustrated Sedona hitters while leading Savannah to a comfortable, 8-0 win. Otero got the win, improving to 8-5. He gave up 4 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. He allowed no runs. The Peaches saw their win-loss record go to 69-45. At the same time, the Sabercats fell to 45-70.

In the bottom of the second, Savannah center fielder Vicente Guzman had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Guzman stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 2-0, Savannah. For the game, he was 1-4.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Guzman told the Savannah Daily.
