No matter what the Wichita Storm threw at him, Fernando Marquez hit it. He easily handled Storm pitching, going 5 for 7 and helping the Nutcrackers triumph, 23-4, at The Storm Center.

"The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.

Told of Marquez's quip, Storm skipper Daniel Carrasco said he "would take him up on that next time."

Fernando Marquez flied out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Danny Gomez in the 8th.

This year, Marquez has hit 4 home runs and posted a .243 batting average.
