The Coronado Islanders had to overcome a good performance from Paradise Island pitcher Juan Munoz to claim a 3-1 win at Barack H. Obama Park. Munoz went 7.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. Manny Soto notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.2 innings. His record now sits at 4-2. Coronado bumps their record to 64-52 with the win.

Shane Maxon aided the Coronado cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-3 with a double.
