The The Stinging Larvae earned a win at The Queen, knocking off the Carrollton Rangers, 5-3. On the bump for The Stinging was right-hander Troy Baxter. He had a starring role in the triumph. Bill Rangel earned the save for The Stinging, his 3rd of the year. The Larvae sport a record of 6-26.
Tony Padilla, who is tied for 10th in the TR in home runs with 7, took Carrollton hurler Nicol Kroeze deep in the bottom of the fifth. His grand slam home run put the Larvae on top, 4-2. In all, Padilla had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
The Stinging manager Jose Correa called it "a pretty good win."
