The Queen was the site of a competitive game between the Montreal Cardinals and The Stinging Larvae.

The The Stinging Larvae did just enough to sneak past the Montreal Cardinals, 3-2, at The Queen. The Stinging pitcher Neil Elliott earned player of the game honors. Elliott, the winner, moves to 4-3. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. Dan Stamper converted his 8th save in 11 tries.

The Larvae used some clutch hitting to beat the Cardinals, a good example being the at-bat of Bobby Barnes in the bottom of the third. With two down, Barnes gave his team the lead, 3-2, when he hit a run-scoring single.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Elliott told the The Stinging Today.

The Stinging now has a 3-game win streak.
