The timely hitting of Ben Aldridge helped the Coronado Islanders down the Montreal Cardinals, 4-3. Aldridge hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Islanders. The 6th-place Cardinals now sit at 10-21.

With Coronado leading 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Aldridge hit a fastball from Vinny Gomez for a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Islanders ahead, 4-1.
