Cardinals Shimmy Past Larvae, 5-4

The Montreal Cardinals did just enough to sneak past the The Stinging Larvae, 5-4, at Denis Coderre Stadium. Montreal right fielder Armando Reveles, in particular, had a standout performance. The first-place Cardinals are now 68-42, the Larvae 39-72.
Reveles had a timely hit for Montreal in the bottom of the eighth. With Montreal trailing 4-3, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Montreal.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said The Stinging manager Jose Correa. "But we decided not to take it."
