The Coronado Islanders grabbed a win, 9-6, over the Savannah Peaches at Barack H. Obama Park. Coronado third baseman Ruben Rodriquez was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once. With this game in the books, Coronado is 61-51, Savannah 65-45.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Islanders grabbed the lead when Rodriquez hit his 7th home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Ken Liberto made it 9-6, Coronado.

"Put the ball in play and good things will happen," said Rodriquez.
