Torres Goes Off, But Larvae Win
The The Stinging Larvae withstood an impressive performance by Normal designated hitter Orlando Torres to defeat the Nutcrackers, 8-7, at The Queen. Torres hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The Stinging is now 13-14, Normal 5-22.

Keith Malloy was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for The Stinging. The 17-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Luis Perea. It was his 10th RBI of the season.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said The Stinging manager Jose Correa.
