Peaches Use Late Rally to Win 5th Straight
The Savannah Peaches defeated the The Stinging Larvae, 9-3, at The Queen. Leading the charge for Savannah was right fielder Jose Moreno. He was 1-1 with a double, 4 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs. The win was credited to 20-year old left-handed pitcher Shiro Teshima in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Jose Rios took the loss. The second-place Peaches have won 5 straight games.

Savannah needed the clutch hitting of Leon Lobato to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Peaches on top, 5-3. For the game, Lobato had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I think it speaks for itself, I think we came out and we played our kind of baseball," said Moreno.
