Pirates Get Past Normal for 5-4 Win
The Paradise Island Pirates topped the Normal Nutcrackers, 5-4, in TML R action at Predator Park. The standout performance belonged to Paradise Island pitcher and Las Tunas, Cuba, native Jesus Casallas. Paradise Island pitcher Gil Lozano got the win, upping his record to 1-1. Ruben Cruz got the loss. The Pirates now own a record of 77-32.

Masanobu Ohashi, who is tied for 8th in the TR in home runs with 18, helped out the Paradise Island cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.

"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Ohashi. "But I have better dreams after a win."
