Tribbles Run Win Streak to 10
|
Rosewell beat Sedona on the strength of starting pitcher Marlon Walton's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. Walton, now 3-0, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. The save was credited to Paul Cummins, his 7th.
The Tribbles got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ted Schwab. For the game, Schwab was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Rosewell a 4-3 lead.
"Eventually, the carousel ride will end," said Walton. "But for now, we'll do our best to enjoy it."
Rosewell, now 23-3, has stretched its winning streak to 10 games.
