Rangers Roll to 8-2 Win Over Commies
|
Carrollton Rangers starter John Clay had all his pitches working at Rangers Field. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-2 Carrollton win over the Caribbean Commies. After today's action, Carrollton sits at 55-51; Caribbean slips to 40-67.
Carrollton took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Rafael Mercado hit a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Rangers.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Mercado told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
