Larvae Topple Nutcrackers with Late Rally

The Normal Nutcrackers and The Stinging Larvae provided some drama at The Nutcracker Suite.
The Larvae had to overcome a good performance from Normal pitcher Josh Tennyson to claim a 3-2 win at The Nutcracker Suite. Tennyson went 6 innings and allowed no earned runs. Dan Stamper closed the game out for The Stinging, earning his 7th save.
The Stinging used the bat of Bobby Barnes to capture the win. The first baseman jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Larvae ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said The Stinging manager Juan Jose Carbaja. "It's usually not just one thing."
The Stinging goes to 29-36, Normal to 35-30.
