Boca Raton rode a good effort from starter Amir Smith to beat the Montreal Cardinals at Scripps Field. The final score was 3-1. Boca Raton is now 25-39.
The Fighting Iguanas got a big at-bat from second baseman Jordan Cruz. For the game, Cruz went 1-4 with a triple. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Boca Raton a 1-0 lead.
