Yun-fat Liang, who finished 5th in the TML in ERA with 3.83 last year, never let the Slice get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Honu to a win, 5-1. Hawaii is now 53-29.

Hawaii used a clutch at-bat from Yohann Martin to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Honu ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Winning never gets old," said Honu manager Naoki Okada.
