The Barbados Revenge spoiled a good performance by Syracuse right fielder Romain Torres, bumping off Syracuse, 8-7, at Syracuse Fields. Torres was 4 for 5 with a triple and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs. Barbados is now 56-51, while Syracuse is 63-43.

Barbados used a clutch at-bat from Hugo Mendoza to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Revenge ahead, 6-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
