Mancha Stars for Captains in 7-5 Win
The Clearlake Captains topped the Scottsdale Scorpions, 7-5, with youngster Chris Mancha playing a key role. Mancha was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Captains in the win. Dale Finneman nailed down his 5th save. Scottsdale has now lost 5 consecutive games.

Mancha contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Clearlake in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-3, Mancha took a fastball from Shane Lynn and stroked the double to right-center. His 10th double of the season allowed the Captains to leap in front, 5-4.

"We'll savor this win," Mancha told the Clearlake Daily News, "then get ready for the next game."
