Cougars Bridle Thunder, 4-2
|
The Prince George Cougars defeated the Key West Thunder, 4-2, at The Back Draft. Billy Diaz was named player of the game for Prince George. His 4 hits included 3 singles and 1 double, in addition to the 1 run he scored and 1 he knocked in. Prince George starter Tyler Sullivan was credited with the win after throwing 76 pitches over 5.2 innings. His record now stands at 3-1. George Jean earned the save, his 17th.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the bottom of the fourth inning. That's when designated hitter Eduardo Angulo drew a walk. The Cougars went on to win.
"I like what I saw today," said Prince George manager Joe Wilkins, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
Key West has now lost 6 consecutive games.
