Brooklyn 63-41 After 7-5 Win Over Manchester
|
Though he had a stellar game, Jim Deatherage could not prevent his team, the Manchester Mooses, from losing, 7-5, to the Brooklyn Cyclones. Deatherage went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Jon Rivera got credit for the win, improving to 5-0. He allowed 5 runs on 7 hits in 6 innings. The Cyclones improved their record to 63-41 with the win over Manchester.
Victor Nieves, who is rated as the 8th best prospect by BNN, helped out the Brooklyn cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the first baseman drew 3 walks.
"We've got a great group of guys," Nieves said, "and we're having fun right now."
