Yuma Rallies for 8-5 Victory
Though he had a terrific game, Ron Gerlt could not prevent his team, the Victoria Totems, from absorbing a loss. Yuma won the game, 8-5. Gerlt was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The winner was Yuma reliever Graham Botelho, now 2-0. The loser was Alejandro Medrano. Jose Pacheco notched his 4th save of the season.

Third Baseman Bryant McGarr made an impact for Yuma, when he swatted a bases-clearing double off Sergio Arrache in the top of the fifth. For the contest, McGarr went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said McGarr.

The win gives Yuma a record of 10-6.
