Larvae Deal Totems 9-7 Setback
The Stinging and Victoria duked it out at Royal Athletic Park and the Larvae came out victorious.

The The Stinging Larvae powered past the Victoria Totems, 9-7, at Royal Athletic Park. Sandy Gomez was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2, to lead the charge. Dan Stamper picked up the save, his 4th.

Early in the game, center fielder Miguel Gomez had a 2-run single for The Stinging. It was his 66th hit of the season and put the Larvae on top, 2-0.

Larvae manager Juan Jose Carbaja wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."

The Larvae improved to 24-32.
