Pharaohs Earn 4-3 Win Versus Honu
|
The home crowd was treated to a thrilling, walk-off win.
In a tight contest at The Pyramid, the Cairo Pharaohs edged the Hawaii Honu by the score of 4-3. Cairo shortstop Benito Mendosa, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. The win went to Morgan Henn in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Tom Mitcham took the loss.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Mendosa hit a fastball from Tom Mitcham for a solo home run. The Pharaohs, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Mendosa.
The loss makes Hawaii 39-43.
