Morgan drives in 5 runs to Power Peaches Offense
The Savannah Peaches bested the Yuma Varmits by a score of 12-7, with catcher Amir Morgan getting the main credit. On the day, Morgan was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for the Peaches. Savannah reliever Jorge Gamboa got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Allen Cain was tagged with the loss. Willie Oropeza earned the save for Savannah.

Savannah used the timely hitting of Will Busse to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Peaches on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We've got some hairy guys on our side, too," said Savannah manager David Flecha.

The loss makes Yuma 6-4.
