Revenge Jolt Commies with Late Rally
Caribbean shortstop Miguel Rivera had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Rivera went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times, even as Barbados beat the Commies, 8-7. Rivera was named the player of the game despite the loss. Manuel Romero closed the game out for Barbados, earning his 4th save. After today's action, Barbados sits at 22-34, while Caribbean falls to 22-34.

Barbados used the timely hitting of Chris Bernick to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Revenge ahead, 8-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Revenge manager Javier Cox. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
