Dalama Belts Bunch of Base Hits
Juan Dalama exploded for a barrage of base hits today at The Nutcracker Suite.

The Normal shortstop had a field day in the 9-6 triumph over the Frobisher Bay Caribou, finishing 5-for-6.

"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."

Dalama must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Juan Dalama singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.

In 50 games this season Dalama has batted at a .277 pace with 57 hits and 5 home runs.
