Pirates Win, 8-2, Extend Streak to 4 Games
|
The 8-2 Paradise Island win over Savannah was due largely to Orlando Aguilar. The Pirates center fielder went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Their 66-29 record puts the Pirates first in the TML R Fred McGriff Division.
With Paradise Island leading 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh, Aguilar hit a run-scoring single off Savannah hurler Jesus Cano. It was the 106th hit of the season for Aguilar and put his team ahead, 4-2.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Aguilar told the Paradise Island News. "It's as simple as that."
