The Caribbean Commies defeated the Easton Caterpillars, 23-5, in part because of second baseman Lee Peterson. Peterson was 3-4 with a home run, a double, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 5 for the Commies. At 36-60, the Commies find themselves in 5th place in the RCL R John Mayberry Division.

Caribbean used the hitting of Bobby Arceo to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Commies on top, 1-0. For the game, Arceo had 1 home run and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Arceo told the Caribbean News. "You win just by scoring more runs."
