|
Wichita Storm starter Rich Pasquale pitched a strong game against the Sedona Sabercats at The Lair at Sabercat Field, leading the Storm to a 4-3 win. Pasquale, the winner, moves to 7-3. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 2 walks. Jimmy Ward closed the game out for Wichita, earning his 3rd save.
In the top of the eighth, Wichita catcher Willis Hernandes had a run-producing at-bat. Facing Sedona hurler Jose Correa, Hernandes hit a sacrifice fly. That made the score 4-3, Wichita. For the day, Hernandes was 1-2 with a walk.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Pasquale.
Wichita leads the TMLR Otto Velez Division by 6 games.
