The Frobisher Bay Caribou picked up a win at The Back Draft, knocking off the Prince George Cougars, 6-4. Starting pitcher Danny Roman played a key role in the triumph. Roman got the win, improving to 2-7. He allowed 11 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Roman allowed 4 earned runs. Roberto Arenas earned the save, his 2nd, for the Caribou.
The Frobisher Bay win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Gerardo Aguilar. In the top of the first, the Frobisher Bay first baseman came to bat and hit a solo home run. It staked his team to a 1-0 lead.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Roman. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
The Caribou raised their record to 14-38.
