The bats were silent much of the day at Classified Field. But 21-year old left fielder Dave Field produced just enough offense to carry the Larvae past the Rosewell Tribbles, 3-1. Field went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. Chia-ch'ing Le notched his 8th save in 9 chances. With the win, the Larvae are 31-63.
Early in the game, Field had a solo home run for The Stinging. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Larvae on top, 1-0.
"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Field. "Just do my job."
