Cyclones Spoil Great Performance by Casares
Though he had a stellar game, Mario Casares could not prevent his team, the Thunder Bay Lighting, from losing, 5-3, to the Brooklyn Cyclones. Casares slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Brooklyn pitcher Jordan Rosa earned the win, hiking his record to 1-0. Stuart Lindemann suffered the loss. Brooklyn now has a record of 47-39 with the win.

John Easter had a key at-bat with two out in the top of the ninth for Brooklyn. With the bases loaded and the Cyclones leading 4-3, he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run.

Easter called it "a solid win."
