San Francisco Earthquakes starter Greg Hobson found his groove in his team's 6-3 win over the Eureka Hornets. Josh Christie was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 24 of 27 save opportunities. The victory gives San Francisco a record of 46-34.

San Francisco third baseman Dusty Salstrom contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two down, he hit a cutter to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 79th hit of the season and put the Earthquakes ahead, 6-3.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Hobson said.
