Downward Spiral Continues for Manchester
The Easton Caterpillars put together a convincing win at Moose Head Stadium, defeating the Manchester Mooses, 12-1. Miguel Villarreal was one of the hitting stars. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Easton. The winner in relief was Victor Aguirre. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-3. The win cannot erase the fact that Easton still has a disappointing 9-77 record.

Miguel Aldana had a big 2-run triple for the Caterpillars in the top of the first inning. With Easton leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Luppe Frijters and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Caterpillars ahead, 4-0.
