Sabercats Beat Visiting Pirates, 7-2
|
The Sedona Sabercats topped the Paradise Island Pirates, 7-2, with youngster Miguel Batalla playing a key role. Batalla went 3-3 with 3 doubles and a walk, while scoring 3 times for the Sabercats in the win. Sedona now sits at 14-36, while Paradise Island falls to 27-23.
Reynold Haerkens did his part for the Sabercats, producing a 2-run double in the bottom of the second inning. For the game, the right fielder was 2-4 with a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Sedona manager Charlie Chowen.
