The Wichita Storm did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the St. Paul Grognards at The Storm Center. Nobody did more than pitcher Tom Tipping, who captured player of the game honors. Wichita is in first place in the TMLR Otto Velez Division with a record of 31-18.
Tipping scattered 4 hits over 8 innings for the Storm. With the win, Tipping goes to 1-0 on the year with 19 strikeouts.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," St. Paul manager Gabriel Díaz said following the tough loss.
