Nutcrackers Win Streak Reaches 9
Normal and Sedona put this game in the books despite some rain.

The Normal Nutcrackers earned a win at The Lair at Sabercat Field, stopping the Sedona Sabercats, 8-1. Starting pitcher Zach Evans played a big role in his team's success. The winning pitcher was Evans, now 3-3. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 8.

Normal used the hitting of Alex Chavoya to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Nutcrackers on top, 1-0. For the game, Chavoya had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
