Losing Trend Continues for Boca Raton
Lighting left fielder Alfredo Javier left his mark on his team's 9-6 win over the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas. Javier went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Thunder Bay in the contest. Thunder Bay pitcher Cortez Soto earned the win, hiking his record to 4-0. Rajko Sujic suffered the loss. Juan Valdez recorded the save, his 23rd.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Lighting designated hitter Diego Para hit a knuckleball from Rajko Sujic for a 2-run single. Just like that, Thunder Bay was up, 2-1.

"This game will humble you at times and you've got to buck up and deal with it," said Boca Raton manager Tomohiro Harada.

The current losing streak for Boca Raton has reached 10 games.
