Castaneda Pops Two Homers in 4-2 Win for Barbados
|
The Barbados Revenge stifled the Rockville Rangers, 4-2, at The Drunken Wench Stadium. Bobby Castaneda had his hitting cap on. He was 3-3 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for Barbados. Jesus Lopez, the winning pitcher, improved to 11-6. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 11 and walking 4. Carlos Sanchez saved it for Barbados.
Early in the game, Castaneda had a 3-run home run for Barbados. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Revenge on top, 3-0.
"That's how you're going to be successful," said Revenge manager Dan Barkdull. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
The win for the Revenge lifted their record to 51-41.
