Tornadoes Sneak By Eclipse, 4-3
|
Kansas City pitcher Raymond Julien did his part in helping his team beat the Chicago Eclipse, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Julien yielded 3 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 6-3. With the win, Kansas City has a record of 43-37. Chicago falls to 43-38.
Kansas City used the timely hitting of Rafael Rodriguez to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tornadoes on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Both teams played hard," said Kansas City manager Hen-to Zhou.
