Brooklyn Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Brooklyn Cyclones besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Boca Raton right fielder Melvin San Miguel by beating the Fighting Iguanas, 9-5, at The Lava Flow. San Miguel went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Brooklyn reliever Hector Alvarez was the winner. His record is now 3-1. Fernando Baldovinos took the loss. Brooklyn's record now stands at 34-46, placing them 6th in the RCL R John Mayberry Division.

Brooklyn got a knockout punch from Chris Parsons. The shortstop hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This game had its share of tense moments," Parsons said, postgame.
