Starting pitcher Stuart Lindemann took care of business, helping the Thunder Bay Lighting stifle the Easton Caterpillars, 4-0. Thunder Bay, at 61-19, is cruising.

Bobby Vargas had a big bases-clearing triple for the Lighting in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Thunder Bay leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from Kuniyasu Inouye and swatted a triple to center. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lighting ahead, 4-0.

"We're going through a bad spell," said Easton manager Mekonnen Asani.
