The Coronado Islanders topped the Frobisher Bay Caribou, 9-5, at Pittodrie Stadium. Coronado center fielder Keagan Strain was a spark plug for the offense. He was 4-4 with 4 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs. Coronado reliever Jose Rico picked up the win, raising his record to 6-5. Ivan Vaiz was tagged with the loss. Getting the save was Ross Lane, his 9th.

Strain had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth, when he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run. The Islanders went on to win.

In postgame comments, Strain told the Coronado Chronicle: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
