Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Scripps Field.

Carlos Carlos knocked in 3 runs to help the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas win, 7-5, over the Scottsdale Scorpions. Boca Raton reliever Tony Zacarias was credited with the win. His record goes to 1-1. Vincent Galindo took the loss for Scottsdale.

Matanzas, Cuba-born Felipe Rodriguez came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded and the Fighting Iguanas trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Boca Raton on top.

"Nice to get this one," said Rodriguez. "Wins have been hard to come by."

Yes, it was a win for Boca Raton; but their 17-60 mark is nothing to crow about.
