Riding the 2-hit performance of the 21-year old center fielder Aaron Proctor, the Syracuse Orange Sox stopped the Easton Caterpillars, 5-2. Mario Herrera, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save. The slumping Caterpillars have dropped 6 in a row.

With Syracuse leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Proctor hit a curveball from Fidel de Arcos for a 2-run home run. It was his 22nd home run of the season and put the Orange Sox ahead, 4-0.

Syracuse manager Teruo Sato said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
