The Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas outlasted Ivan de Jesus and the Yuma Varmits, 10-8. de Jesus was impressive in the loss. The Yuma right fielder was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 4. Boca Raton reliever Seikichi Morinaka picked up the win to move to 3-0. Luis Sanabria suffered the loss. The 4th-place Varmits dropped to 42-45.

Tony Jimenez hit a bases-clearing double off Joe Morris in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Fighting Iguanas in front, 8-5. In addition to the double, Jimenez had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.
