Manchester got a big-time effort from pitcher Nobuaki Matsushima, but it wasn't enough to keep the Savannah Peaches from winning the game, 3-1. Matsushima threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The Peaches now have a record of 56-29 with the win over Manchester.

Savannah got a clutch hit from Jose Cisneros. The center fielder launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Cisneros.
